Ann Comac Bonny could have looked like this if she had a great stylist. In reality she wore sailors "slops" — baggy clothes that would not impede her fighting ability. And fight she did until the pirate sloop she was on was captured in 1720. She and the rest of the crew and captain were imprisoned, tried for piracy and sentenced to death. But the luck of the Irish seems to have held for Ann. She claimed she was pregnant and so was not hung. A grave dated 1733 with the name of Ann Bonny is in Spanish Town, Jamaica so she had lived for 13 more years. This beautifully printed chipboard puzzle captures her standing at the rail as waves and a nearby ship roll beneath a shifting sky. The glossy, vibrant print and crisp piece cuts make each click satisfying — a small ritual of focus and quiet reward. Whether you choose a 110 piece puzzle for a cozy coffee-table session or the full 1014-piece spread for a weekend of steady progress, the tactile weight of the chipboard and the boxed artwork make assembly feel like crafting a framed scene from a story. It’s the kind of project that invites slow conversation, thoughtful breaks, and the soft pleasure of watching an image come together piece by piece.
